Learning by Doing Centre

Samagra Shiksha Gujarat is in the process to establish Learning-by-Doing (LBD) centres to develop practical skill among the students of Class 6th, 7th and 8th of Government schools. LBD Centre is a place where students will get the experience of performing hands on activities and build their conceptual understanding about different topics they studied in their text book of Science and Mathematics. LBD Centre will provide the platform to develop the scientific attitude among the students. In LBD Centre science and maths kits will be available. Demonstration material/ models/ charts will also be available there. Some local available material will be provided to shape the thought by the students and kits will be provided which will be used by the subject teacher as Teaching Learning Material (TLM). LBD Centre have the Science and Maths literature to develop scientific temperament among the students. Posters of famous scientists and mathematicians will be displayed to motivate the students.

625 Learning by Doing centres will be establish in Government Upper Primary Schools this year.
